Employment Demographics

Duncan has access to over 100,000 workers within a short commute. Plus, Duncan's labor force is skilled, loyal and focused on providing quality workmanship to area businesses.

Out of the employed workforce, 15% (approximately 17,600 people) are underemployed. Over 5,000 people applied for 500 positions with the Family Dollar distribution center. The Foundation can arrange a job fair for companies relocating to Duncan, Oklahoma.

There is no union affiliation at businesses in Stephens County or the five surrounding counties.

60.7 percent of the underemployed are willing to commute 20 miles to a place of employment; 59 percent would change jobs for a raise in pay of 15 percent or less.
