DAEDF President Lyle Roggow named among Oklahoma’s 55 over 55

Lyle Roggow, a long time member of the Duncan community and President of the Duncan Area Economic Development Foundation (DAEDF), received honors and was among numerous distinguished individuals comprising Oklahoma's 55 Over 55 Most Inspiring for the year 2023.
This prestigious accolade is awarded to outstanding Oklahomans 55 and over who continue to make a significant impact in their respective fields.
Roggow's journey to this achievement began on a farm near Garber, Oklahoma, where he cultivated a deep-rooted connection to the land. His early involvement in the Future Farmers of America (FFA) reflected his commitment to agriculture and community.
After graduating from Oklahoma State University in 1984 with a degree in Agriculture Economics, Roggow initiated his career at Gordon Cooper Technology Center in Shawnee, Oklahoma, where he served as the Farm Business Management Program Coordinator for 13 years. During his tenure in Shawnee, Roggow was actively engaged in various community and professional organizations, including the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce, Oklahoma Teacher Preparation Commission, Regent to Seminole State, Tecumseh Chamber of Commerce, and numerous other activities aimed at the betterment of the region.
In 1998, Roggow returned to the family farming operation, balancing his deep agricultural roots with a fervent dedication to community service. He also assumed the role of Chairman of the Board for the Oklahoma Health Care Authority, serving from 1998 until 2012.
Roggow's extensive experience and commitment to economic development continued as he joined the Oklahoma Department of Commerce in 2000 as a Regional Director, overseeing the Northwest and North Central regions. His journey led him to Meridian Technology Center in Stillwater in January 2005, where he took on the roles of Community and Economic Development Specialist and Assistant Incubator Manager.
In October 2006, Roggow's path brought him to the helm of the Duncan Area Economic Development Foundation (DAEDF), where he has served as President for over 16 years, leaving an indelible mark on the economic landscape of Duncan and the surrounding area.

Board of Directors for DAEDF. "He has been a driving force behind our economic development efforts, and his leadership has been pivotal in our region's growth and success."
Roggow's recognition as one of Oklahoma's 55 Over 55 Most Inspiring reflects not only his professional accomplishments, but also his dedication to community engagement, leadership, and philanthropy. His journey from a humble farm in Garber to this tremendous honor is a testament to his remarkable contributions and serves as an inspiration for future leaders in the state.
In an official statement, Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell Congratulated Lyle and the other honorees.
“Over the course of your careers you have made a difference in our state,” Pinnell said. “Your selfless service to your communities and dedication to your chosen fields have made Oklahoma a better place for everyone. Continue investing in the younger generations. You have a lot of wisdom to share. Thank you for your commitment to bettering our state. The future for Oklahoma is bright because of leaders like you.”
Other notable honorees include Congressman J.C. Watts, Governor Mary Fallin, Governor Bill Anoatubby, Kathy Keating, Bob Funk, Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett, Barbara Braught, and many more.
Roggow and his wife, Kim, have four children and four grandchildren. Kim is a small business owner, further highlighting the Roggow family's commitment to community and economic growth.
