Move Duncan Talent Relocation Incentive
Move Duncan is a talent relocation incentive that will be used to attract remote workers and qualified candidates for local businesses and organizations.
The world post-Covid has motivated people to relocate from urban areas to communities like Duncan for a lower cost of living, enhanced quality of life, and the beneficial geographic location.
Eligibility and Program Details
- Provides a total of $4,000 per qualifying individual over a 3-year period.
- 50% of funds (i.e. $2,000) will be provided solely as home closing assistance at the time of closing, then $1,000 per year for 2 years after.
- Job must pay a minimum of $50k/year with full benefits, exceptions exist for certain industries of high need.
- Qualifying home must be purchased within Stephens County.
- Candidate cannot currently live or work in Stephens County at the time of application.
- Candidate must work remotely or in identified industries.
- Candidate must sign letter of intent to live in Stephens County for at least 4 years.
- Accepted candidate must move to Stephens County within 6 months of being accepted or reapply for consideration.
- As candidates apply, they will be reviewed and considered. Incomes above county average, industries of need, and family size will all be taken into consideration.
Additional Benefits to New Employee
- Use of Duncan Center for Business Development (DCBD) Incubator Office Space for up to 5 hours per week for first year.
