The contest is challenging for students, teachers, and parents. It requires critical thinking, design, drafting, and manufacturing a CO2 race car. The competition is made possible through the collaborative efforts of DAEDF in partnership with our local middle schools, high schools, and Red River Technology Center. As a “Center for Workforce Excellence”, events such as this are opening pathways to manufacturing and engineering in our community.
Over 250 participants competed in this year’s competition, with students coming from Central, Duncan, Walters, and Red River Technology Center. Students from all of our surrounding schools are eligible.
Many thanks to sponsors and volunteers from Halliburton, Tilly Group, Valco, Blue Arc, Southern Machine Works, NOV, Model1, Pitsco, Red River Technology Center, PGM, Sensia, One Duncan, and the Duncan Chamber of Commerce.
