360-Degree Video to Aid in Recruiting Physican and Healthcare Professional Candidates to DRH Health, also known as Duncan Regional Hospital
Duncan, Oklahoma - The Duncan Area Economic Development Foundation (DAEDF) has just launched a 360-degree video to recruit physicians and specialists to DRH Health, also known as Duncan Regional Hospital (DRH). The video, produced by Golden Shovel Agency, can be used along with a virtual meetings app to not only attract talent but turn their interest into action.
360-degree video and virtual reality (VR) are immersive technologies that put the viewer inside the message. When viewed with virtual reality goggles, the experience triggers intense brain activity that mimics the response of actually being in a new place. The result is that the message is remembered, and the viewer is led to a next action, such as scheduling a meeting.
"DRH Health is not only the anchor for healthcare and medical services in our region, they're involved in the community and support many causes that contribute to the health and wellness of our residents in many ways, " said Lyle Roggow, President of DAEDF. "We're happy to provide this tool so that they can showcase the opportunities and quality of life that we have to offer here."
"Recruiting top health care professionals to our community is extremely important to DRH Health," shared Jay Johnson, President and CEO of DRH. "We plan to utilize this video as one of the ways we are reaching out to candidates to give them a 'real' look at what it means to work for us."
The virtual reality meetings app makes it possible for people in Duncan to meet with anyone anywhere in the world by sending them a set of VR goggles preloaded with the 360-degree videos. The meetings app is a powerful tool for recruitment because it lets participants have a conversation as if they're in person while they're inside the video.
"Virtual meetings are very different from online meetings," said Aaron Brossoit, CEO of Golden Shovel Agency. "When you're together with someone in a 3D space, you can interact with them while you're also engaging with the scene. It's really the next best thing to being there in person."
The DRH Health video is one of five videos that DAEDF has produced with Golden Shovel Agency.

About the Duncan Area Economic Development Foundation
In 1993, the citizens and businesses of Duncan created the Duncan Area Economic Development Foundation (DAEDF) to promote the development of existing businesses, attract new businesses, and diversify Duncan's economic base. By simultaneously building up the local infrastructure, establishing relationships throughout the community and state, and ensuring that there is a well-trained and vital workforce, DAEDF created an attractive business climate. DAEDF has attracted businesses that provide competitive wages and make capital investments in the community, which means they are more likely to remain in the area as long-term employers. www.ok-duncan.com
