Sensia Global, located in Duncan’s North Industrial Park, celebrated three years of safety with a luncheon and employee recognition.

On Tuesday, Feb. 18, a luncheon was hosted by Sensia Global located in Duncan, Oklahoma to recognize and celebrate three years of safety.   During the luncheon Sensia Global Chief Executive Officer Allan Rentcome and Duncan Plant Manager David Mathews recognized employees for their efforts of maintaining a safe workplace environment and being “OSHA Free” for  more than 1,000 days.

“Thank you to each and every one of our Duncan employees for taking safety seriously and recognizing our core values,” stated Sensia Global CEO Allan Rentcome during the celebration. “This is a fantastic achievement, and we are more successful as a company and employer because of your dedication and efforts.”

During the celebration employees enjoyed a lunch catered by  Creek Bottom Burgers and cake, and received a jacket along with a $50 gift certificate to Ridley’s Butcher Shop.

“While safety is a concern in all workplaces, in manufacturing facilities many times there are more safety risk factors,” shared Lyle Roggow, President of the Duncan Area Economic Development Foundation. “We are proud to have an employer like Sensia Global in our community who has established a safe work environment for their employees and celebrates these successes.”

In manufacturing facilities there are generally three major areas of safety concern: the environment and openness of the work space, the materials and processes, some of which can be hazardous and require protective clothing, and the machines which require proper training and maintenance to operate.

Companies take action to ensure employee safety through training, continuing education, labeling and restricted access areas, maintenance, first aid stations and emergency action plans.
